Planning the perfect wedding puts a lot of pressure on many couples. An overwhelming feeling creeps on you when you start writing to-do lists (which includes the wedding theme, wedding toast, budget, etc.) and discover that you are actually having difficulties coping with the event.
There are many issues that you need to consider:
-the style of the ceremony and the decorations;
-response cards and thank you notes that goes with the invitations;
-the wedding location, the guests and the budget;
-the bride’s and bridesmaids’ outfits and dresses;
-the menu;
-music and service providers;
-the license for the marriage;
-gifts for the visitors;
-photo-shooting.
You can still add many items on the list and make it into a long one. Nevertheless, planning the perfect wedding requires more than just covering all the things in the checklist. You will need the support of family, friends and would-be spouse as well as their acceptance of the plans. In addition to this, when the in-laws won’t be able to agree on the details for the ceremony, dates and the seatings, then trouble is just around the corner.
Maybe a professional planner could simply things for you, unless you have a friend or a family member to assume the role of official organizer. Regardless of whether you follow the lines of a traditional wedding or you have a particular theme in mind, things can be a lot easier if you stick to a rule of simplicity. Normally, the plan’s difficulty will increase with the complexity of the occasion.
Don’t try to please everybody, as it’s hardly achievable. Who are you planning the perfect wedding for? Your parents, your friends or yourself? Having said these, we can only recommend that you go step by step and you start working on the main processes involved well in advance so that you don’t complain about stress. Then, by the time you have found the location, decided on the outfits and have contacted the caterers, a lot of the burden will have gone away when you’ve rented a certain location, contracted the caterers and bought the outfits, you should feel more relaxed.
So, in planning for the big day (the budget, wedding toast, themes, menu, groom wedding speech and so on), it should be easy to do so if you think that you are preparing for the happiest day of your life and that it is the beginning of life together. A positive attitude and the joy of making the big day worth the effort ought to help you put all negative feelings behind. It is therefore paradoxical how disputes, arguments and fights can ruin the event. Say a firm no to these and make a difference!
